This paper reviews research findings on the effectiveness of in-person versus online stress management programs along with factors affecting uptake, engagement, and perceived value of online programs. It also shares the experience of the first author in transforming a long-standing, in-person, group stress management program into a successful online format and provides practical suggestions on making this transition.
